First Look is here: a new way to test the market before you list

Breaking news

Seattle's MLS just added a new listing status called First Look, and it changes how a home comes to market. Since September 4, a seller can put their home in front of every broker in the region for up to 21 days before it goes fully public, with no days-on-market clock running and no price changes showing on the portals. For sellers, that is a real way to test the market and finish the house before Zillow ever sees it. For buyers, the day-one listing you see online may already have a story, and I can pull it before we write. If you have been thinking about selling, this is worth a conversation.
